My Thoughts on Intro to Information Technology
So far, this class has been an engaging introduction to the vast world of IT. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, making it manageable to grasp new concepts, even when they get technical. The structured approach helps keep everything organized, which is important in a field that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I also appreciate how Brightspace is set up—it’s intuitive, and having all the course materials, assignments, and discussions in one place makes it easy to stay on track. What I hope to learn
One of the main reasons I was excited about this class is that I’m still exploring which IT path to take. I’m torn between cybersecurity and programming, and I hope this course will give me more insight into both fields. Cybersecurity interests me because of its job security and importance in today’s digital world while programming appeals to me because of the creative freedom it offers. I want to gain a solid understanding of both to help me make an informed career decision. I have always been a huge fan of tech and its innovations, whether it was gaming consoles (I'm a PlayStation fan), smart home technology, or the latest phone. I've been so enamored with technology that, at one point, I had both an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy. Beyond career exploration, I’m looking forward to learning more about how IT shapes industries, how businesses implement technology, and how AI is impacting the future of tech jobs. Understanding the fundamentals of networking, databases, and security will give me a strong foundation for whichever path I choose.Overall, I’m enjoying the class so far. The format is easy to follow, the resources are helpful, and I appreciate the structured approach. By the end of this course, I hope to have a clearer vision of my IT career path and develop the technical skills needed to succeed in the field.
